The Northern Harvest produce program supports local farmers and creates wealth in the Temiskaming region. Long haul shipping is reduced and a sustainable local food purchasing and distribution network is created. Participants receive freshly picked regional produce that is delivered to participating community depots for mid-week pick-up.
Northern Harvest is a multi-farmer produce program. All farmers in the program farm their produce both ecologically and sustainably. All produce is freshly picked, locally grown from organic or non GMO seeds in manured or organically fertilized soil.

We do our best to provide you with a wide variety of produce but keep in mind that Mother Nature sometimes has a different plan. Not all crops will necessarily succeed. Local dairy products, local organic flour, honey or preserves may be substituted for a crop serving or two. Remember – you will receive smaller produce baskets at the beginning of the season when crops are just starting and a larger amount of produce in late summer when the harvest is going strong!!!
Participants receive and share weekly recipes, cooking tips and suggestions on how to prepare our produce.
